IDL’s mission is to provide clients with an individual, personal and custom service that will turn a Client’s ideas into one exclusive vision. By developing the best drawings possible, throughout the entire process, IDL exposes the challenges, designs the solutions, and guides construction.
Typical Process:
Projects start with a one on one meeting to answer several questions on a variety of topics and to determine the appropriate path to move forward.
Upon an understanding of the scope of work and timelines, the signed proposal sets the course for the entire project.
Work commences with site analysis, and a collage of imagery and drawings, followed by a final conceptual design that encompasses the whole vision. Illustrations, including perspectives, photo-simulations, and bird-eye views may also be done in this phase. A preliminary submittal to a Homeowners Associations, and/or local municipalities may be necessary.
From the approved conceptual design, construction documentation is developed to guide installation.
Several CAD plans and details are custom drawn specific to the project. And at this stage, materials, layouts, and quantities are specified. All plans are supplied to the Client. A formal submittal is often required, for approval by a Homeowners Association or local municipality, prior to construction.
The Client, then, hires their contractor to construct the design. At which time, IDL may be signed on to provide construction observation services. All observations, suggestions and alterations are reported to the Client regarding quality, progress, and adherence to the plans.

Anne studied fine art at Moore College of Art and Design (Philadelphia, PA) prior to obtaining a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She is a Licensed Landscape Architect in the State of California. Over the past 10 years, Anne’s experiences include working on a variety of projects, such as recreational resorts, redevelopment projects, commercial facilities, and high-end residential. In 2004, Anne established IDL.
As a sole proprietor, Anne regularly consults with local design firms and enjoys participating in critiques with other design professionals. She maintains membership with the American Society of Landscape Architects, as well as being a Young Leader Member of the Urban Land Institute.
Anne aims to be a part of projects that exemplify innovative design and promote healthy environments.
Anne enjoys the outdoors, hiking, and traveling with her husband, Jeff, who is also a landscape architect.
